Our newly remodeled motel rooms provide a contemporary retreat with direct access to one of Virginia’s most scenic routes, located just steps from the property. Guests can relax in a peaceful mountain environment while enjoying thoughtfully designed accommodations with modern amenities. Surrounded by natural beauty, Tuggle’s Gap is an ideal place to unwind, explore the Parkway, and experience the charm of Floyd County, Virginia.
ROOM TYPES & DETAILS
All rooms at Tuggle’s Gap Roadside Inn feature modern bathrooms with spacious walk-in showers, heating and air conditioning, high-speed Wi-Fi and ethernet, convenient storage, a coffee station, luxury bedding, and premium linens. During renovations, all bathrooms were expanded to include large step-in showers and well-lit vanity areas with ample under-counter storage.
King and Queen Rooms each offer one comfortable bed with a small sitting area, making them ideal for solo travelers or couples.
Double Rooms feature two double beds and are well suited for families or guests traveling together.
Our Deluxe Rooms include added conveniences such as a refrigerator and microwave, making them a great choice for longer stays or guests seeking extra comfort.

Nestled alongside the Blue Ridge Parkway, Tuggle’s Gap Roadside Inn offers beautiful mountain scenery and peaceful natural views in every direction. Each guest room includes a private outdoor sitting area, and picnic tables are conveniently placed throughout the property for guests to relax, dine, and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
Guests can gather around our stone fire pit, built from natural rock found on the property. When weather conditions allow and wildfire risk is low, it’s a perfect spot to unwind in the evenings—ideal for relaxing by the fire or enjoying classic s’mores under the stars.
The property features open green space with a children’s swing and plenty of lawn for kids and pets to play. We are a pet-friendly lodging option near the Blue Ridge Parkway, and pets are welcome in all outdoor areas. Please clean up after your pets to help keep the grounds enjoyable for everyone.
Smoking is permitted only in clearly marked designated smoking areas equipped with ash receptacles.
On clear nights, guests are treated to exceptional stargazing, with views of the Milky Way especially visible from the rear of the property near Rooms 10–12. On select evenings, outdoor lighting may be reduced to enhance night sky visibility.
IN OUR SHOP YOU WILL FIND
The on-site shop at Tuggle’s Gap Roadside Inn is currently closed and planned to reopen in Spring 2026. When open, the shop will offer a curated selection of snacks, drinks, beer, wine, canned cocktails, old-fashioned candy and soda pop, Tuggle’s Gap blend coffee, stone-ground grits, apparel, books, branded merchandise, and basic travel necessities such as pain relievers, decongestants, and allergy medication.
